Arts at the Center grants offset the cost of performances at Mesa Arts Center

Mesa Arts Center is reminding leaders of educational or arts organizations looking to spotlight a performance or activity to apply for Arts at the Center grants.

The initial application process starts with  a letter of interest that’s due Sept. 1, 2023, and then  email it.

From that pool of letters, a short list of organizations will be notified later in the month and asked to submit a full proposal for grants up to $1,000 to offset production costs.

Past recipients include Phoenix Boys Choir and Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli.

According to a release, "up to six Arts at the Center grant recipients are chosen each year to present a performance or activity on one of Mesa Arts Center’s stages or in one of its other spaces (studios, outdoor spaces). Theater seating can accommodate from 100 to 1,500 attendees, depending upon the selected space and the type and size of the presentation."
