Sixteen water rescue specialists from the Phoenix Fire Department are being sent to Yuma. They will be staged there to prepare for flooding that may occur as a result of Tropical Storm Hilary.

The rescuers utilize boats and safety gear for swiftwater response efforts and are being sent following a request by the Arizona Department of Emergency Management Agency.

In Phoenix, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory with potential for gusts 45 miles per hour. There was a 70% chance of rain Sunday.
