Remnants of Harold expected to bring rain to Arizona

The remnants of Tropical Depression Harold are expected in Arizona later today after it makes its way through northern Mexico from the Gulf.

There are chances of thunderstorms and showers statewide in the afternoon and evening, particularly in high terrain.

“It looks like an inch of rain or slightly higher near the White Mountains," said Isaac Smith is with the National Weather Service in Phoenix. "And then across the higher terrain in northern Arizona. It looks like, generally, upwards of a half an inch in most areas."

Temperatures, on the other hand,  are expected to ramp back up in the Valley, at above 110 into the weekend and next week.
