COVID-19 has largely been out of the headlines for some time, but a late summer surge in cases and a new variant has researchers on the lookout.
This week, we're currently seeing a jump in hospitalizations around the country, with numbers up more than 21% nationwide. There's also a new variant called BA.2.86 that is beginning to pop up around the world.
