Fry's and Safeway are talking about a merger. Arizona AG Kris Mayes could sue to stop it

The proposed merger of supermarket giants Kroger and Albertsons has led to concern among some shoppers — and a number of elected officials are taking notice.

Gov. Katie Hobbs says she is “concerned” about some of the effects the proposed merger could have on the state, and Attorney General Kris Mayes has been hosting listening sessions across Arizona to hear from residents.

The Show sat down with Mayes earlier to talk about what she has heard, as well as the news that the Arizona Supreme Court will hear a case that would settle the dispute over which of Arizona’s abortion laws should be enforced.
