Drug use in the U.S. is higher than anywhere else. This author asks why

Drug use in America is higher than anywhere else in the world — and it’s only going up. It isn't just opiates and psychedelics, but also coffee and prescription drugs.

ASU professor Ben Fong's new book, "Quick Fixes: Drugs in America from Prohibition to the 21st Century Binge," asks: What is it about life in America that has spurred drug use to a historic high?

Fong spoke more about the book with The Show.
