Kroger reaches settlement in principle of $1.37 billion over opioids case

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has announced her office, along with other local governments, has reached a settlement in principle with Kroger over its alleged role in the opioid crisis.

It is set to total $1.37 billion and only applies to states that Kroger and its subsidiaries operate in.

Earlier this year, Arizona received hundreds of millions of dollars in opioid settlements from drugmakers Teva and Allergan and pharmacies CVS and Walgreens.
