U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly visited Poland and Ukraine this week to meet with senior U.S. military leaders and hear from Ukrainian commanders about the war effort.
“I’m going to make sure that Ukraine has what it needs to be successful. And I made this trip so I can understand better what is working, what isn’t — what does the Ukrainian armed forces need today and in the coming days and weeks and months," Kelly said.
There have been rumblings in Congress, mostly from the right, about the financial contributions America has given to Ukraine.
Kelly says it would be a “colossal mistake” if the West did not do everything it could to help beat Vladimir Putin.
