Getting rid of the stuff in our homes can be difficult and time-consuming. But for Lewis Buzbee, parting with one specific kind of item is more challenging than the rest.
In an essay, writer Buzbee details his process for deciding which books he’ll hang on to and which it’s time to move on from. Buzbee also was a bookseller and publisher for two decades. He now teaches at the University of San Francisco.
Buzbee joined The Show to talk about the essay, including his struggle with how to even describe what he was doing when he was thinning out his book collection.
