Smoke from the remnants of a fire on the Salt River Landfill spread across much of the East Valley over the weekend.
According to the Salt River Fire Department, the fire is no longer burning, but green waste, such as lumber, grass and plants, continues to smolder.
It is unpredictable when smoldering from that waste will stop.
Air quality officials with Maricopa County are still gathering information on the impacts from the smoke.
