Phoenix Suns and Mercury plan new headquarters and practice facility in warehouse district

The Phoenix Suns and Mercury are planning to construct a new business headquarters and practice space in the warehouse district of downtown Phoenix.

Part of the project with a $100 million-plus price tag is a campus for members of the Suns and Mercury.

The goal is to help create an open work environment that fosters collaboration among hundreds of employees.

Almost half of the planned development’s 123,000 square feet is set aside for a Mercury practice space with features such as a kitchen and a chef.

Suns and Mercury owner Mat Ishbia said in a prepared statement that great culture is built by investing in people, and the development plan builds on the overall vision for Phoenix’s professional basketball teams.
