Concerts at the Arizona State Fair resume after 3-year hiatus

Monster trucks, a petting zoo, rides and elephant ears have been entertaining Arizona State Fair-goers for the last two weeks.

Fair marketing director Brianda Martinez said this week brings a return to the concert series which has been on hiatus for three years due to the pandemic.

“It does feel a little bit more a normal fair. I feel like we didn’t have that for three years. It was a bit off. You know, the Coliseum was empty,” said Martinez.

Some of the acts include Carly Pearce, Becky G., Ne-Yo and Violent Femmes. The fair closes October 29.
