Hispanic Heritage Month designs are everywhere. Here's how the art can avoid looking cliché

Hispanic Heritage Month wraps up on Saturday. Over the past few weeks, social media and other places have been flooded with graphics celebrating and advertising it.

Carolina A. Miranda says a lot of those aesthetics, fonts, colors and designs used by businesses, governments and other organizations have become cliché.

Miranda is art and design columnist at the LA Times and spoke with The Show about how she describes the design aesthetic and more.
