The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers again Monday night. The D-Backs are now 2-0 in the best-of-five National League Division Series.
Star pitcher Zac Gallen said winning at Dodger Stadium is also a big psychological victory.
"I don’t think it’s any secret that we’ve come in here and struggled," Gallen said. "So, I think it was good for us just mentally to come in here and set the tone, have a little faith in ourselves and then if we go home and finish the job."
Manager Torey Lovullo said the team is locked in right now and it shows.
"They have continued to maintain their competitive focus through any situation [and] days off," Lovullo said. "These guys are very hungry and they feel like they have a lot to prove."
The D-Backs will host the Dodgers at Chase Field on Wednesday, in Game Three of the NLDS.
A win would advance Arizona to the National League Championship Series for only the third time in franchise history, and its first appearance since 2007.
