How 'The Great British Bake Off' made reality TV a little more heartwarming

It’s time to talk about “The Great British Bake Off.” The most wholesome, kindest, most heartwarming reality competition show probably of all time.

The BBC show is in its 13th season — or series, as it's called across the pond.

And it became an international hit during the pandemic, when we all needed a warm hug and the show was there for us.

Amanda Kehrberg is a Ph.D. student at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication studying digital culture. She spoke with The Show about “The Great British Bake Off” effect on reality TV.
