Lyft announces new program to pair women and nonbinary drivers and riders

Rideshare platform Lyft recently announced a new program aimed at pairing women and nonbinary drivers and riders. The Women + Connect program is currently available in five cities, including Phoenix, with more expected to be added soon.

Users can turn on a preference in the app that’ll prioritize matches with women and nonbinary drivers and riders who are close by.

Sergio Avedian — senior contributor with the Rideshare Guy, which has a blog, podcast and YouTube channel on the gig economy, joined The Show to talk more about it.
