While the rest of the U.S. is starting to feel like fall, Phoenix is staying hot — triple-digit hot.
Monday's high of 105 broke a record set three years ago, according to the National Weather Service.
And what’s being forecasted for the remainder of the week isn’t much better — more triple-digit heat through Saturday.

"We've had high pressure and relatively light winds, which allows strong surface heating during the day, allowing these high temperatures that we've been seeing," NWS meteorologist Ted Whittock said.
And at this rate, October is shaping up to be one of the warmest on record.
"We've had six so far at or above 100 degrees for the month of October, and we're expecting about six more. So that would put us at 12, if that forecast comes true, and that would tie us for the second most days at or above 100 degrees," Whittock said.
Whittock says we can expect some relief from the heat by Sunday.
