Cindy McCain speaks on providing humanitarian aid to Gaza residents

As fighting continues in the Middle East in the war between Israel and Hamas, food is being sent to the Gaza Strip to help the needy affected by the war.

Cindy McCain, wife of late Sen. John McCain, serves as executive director of the World Food Programme and talked about the issues faced by people in the Gaza Strip on ABC’s “This Week.”

“Starvation and lack of food is a security issue. And so, we just want to make sure that people can feed themselves and that we have the opportunity and the ability to give them a sustainable life as best we can," she said.

The organization managed to provide aid on Saturday by getting 20 trucks into the region. To prevent supplies from going to Hamas, she says bags are tracked and traced.
