More gas stations across Arizona could soon be offering prices as low as $4 a gallon after the state average price has fallen by 15 cents in the last week. In some cases the drop-off has been even steeper, up to 30 cents in the same period.
The average as of Friday morning was $4.07.
Julian Parades with AAA says multiple factors have led to the cool off.
"Many Southwest states have had more expensive gas for the last few months because of all the hot weather and refinery problems in Texas and California. But all of those issues have been resolved," Parades said.
Graham County has the highest prices, at nearly $4.30, and Pima County the lowest, at $3.79
