The autonomous vehicle firm Cruise has suspended its operations nationwide. California officials last week revoked its license to operate in that state, after regulators decided the vehicles were dangerous to pedestrians and other drivers.
“We have decided to proactively pause driverless operations across all of our fleets while we take time to examine our processes, systems, and tools and reflect on how we can better operate in a way that will earn public trust," said Cruise, which is owned by General Motors, on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
