Indigenous Resilience Center at University of Arizona gets $2 million grant

A $2 million grant will support efforts by the Indigenous Resilience Center at the University of Arizona as it searches for climate solutions.

The award will be used to support the center’s two-year project known as Climate Resilience Through Indigenous Co-Design at the Food, Energy and Water Nexus.

Through the project, the center will expand efforts to help tribal communities develop local solutions to address climate-related issues.

Indigenous people face environmental issues like high temperatures and extreme weather conditions, which can affect their habitats and potentially cause a food collapse.
