Díaz and Allhands: AZ has set out a new roadmap for turning wastewater into drinking water

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has released what it’s calling a "proposed roadmap for transforming recycled water into safe, reliable purified water."

It’s basically a way to turn recycled wastewater into water we can — and would be willing to — drink. It’s a subject Joanna Allhands has been thinking about a lot. She's the digital opinions editor at the Arizona Republic.

Allhands and editorial page editor Elvia Díaz joined The Show to talk more about this.
