The unregulated world of event gambling — betting on everything from politics to wars

The popularity of sports betting is shooting through the roof here and across the country as more states are legalizing it. And it's so easy to access — right there on your smartphone.

But there is another side of online gambling: unregulated betting. This is a vast world and, because it’s unregulated, no one really knows the size of it. But, if you know where to go, you can bet on anything from the presidential election to the war between Israel and Hamas.

Timothy Fong is co-director of the UCLA Gambling Studies Program. He joined The Show to talk more more about it.
