A judge is hearing arguments over fate of 2 Arizona laws on voter registration

A federal judge is hearing arguments over two laws passed by the GOP-controlled Legislature last year, dealing with how Arizonans register to vote.

One of the laws required voters to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote using the federal form. The other required county recorders to remove voters from the rolls if there was reason to believe they’re not a citizen, among other things.

Camryn Sanchez from KJZZ’s politics desk has been following the case and joined The Show to talk about it more.
