The U.S. undocumented immigrant population is less Mexican than ever

As numbers of migrants presenting themselves at the U.S.-Mexico border has reached record numbers this year, let’s spend a few minutes talking about where they’re coming from — and who’s already here.

The population of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. is becoming more diverse. Mexicans now have the smallest share they’ve ever had. That’s according to a new report from the Pew Research Center.

Russell Contreras covers justice and race for Axios. He joined The Show to break down the data.
