Looking for gift ideas? These annual Tucson craft fairs might help

If you’re still looking for gift ideas for friends and family this season, Tucson’s annual crafts market is opening this weekend — bringing in local artists and those from around the state.

The City Parks Arts and Crafts Fair has been running for the last 40 years; this year, it's at Tucson’s Reid Park. It includes woodworkers, jewelers, potters and photographers from Tucson and artisans from Phoenix and around the Southwest.

Tucson city officials say the event includes more than 140 vendors all told. It’s free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

A similar fair is happening this Saturday at Legacy Park in Mesa. City officials say more than 200 vendors will be there, along with live music and other activities. It’s $5 to enter and open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
