President Joe Biden on Sunday announced the release by Hamas militants of a 4-year-old girl with family ties to Arizona.
In an official White House video posted on X social media, Biden made remarks about Abigail Edan, whose parents were killed by Hamas in October.
“What she endured is unthinkable. Abigail was among 13 hostages released today from Gaza. Under the brokered and sustained, though intensive U.S. diplomacy, she’s now safely in Israel and we continue to press and expect for additional Americans will be released as well," he said.
Biden said Edan arrived safely to Israel, but her condition remains unknown.
