While metro Phoenix is still feeling above-average temperatures, a cooldown is forecast.
"Between Wednesday and Thursday we’re going to be dropping a good six, seven degrees," said Ryan Worley with the National Weather Service in Phoenix. "So, it will likely be noticeable especially if we do have the possibility of seeing some rain around here on Friday."
Worley said temperatures will stick in the 70s through Wednesday, and then drop into the 60s at the end of the week and into the weekend.
A big shift in the weather pattern is expected late this week. A low pressure system will bring cooler temperatures and increasing rain chances to much of Arizona beginning on Thursday. There is still a lot of uncertainty regarding precipitation amounts so stay tuned. #azwx pic.twitter.com/R5No4WDznJ
