Chris Garagiola has been named the official play-by-play announcer for the Arizona Diamondbacks Radio Network. He was previously a pre- and post-game show host.
His predecessor, Greg Schulte, was the official announcer from 1998 until the latest season.
Garagiola is the third generation of his family to work for the Dbacks. His father Joe Garagiola Jr., served as the team’s general manager from 1995 to 2005. Before that, Joe Garagiola Sr., spent 15 seasons working on Dbacks broadcasts.
