The fast-casual restaurant Fazoli’s is bringing back its first standalone location on Dec. 12 in Mesa. The only other Fazoli’s currently in the Valley is at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in Terminal 4 earlier this year.
Fazoli’s then-CEO Carl Howard told the Phoenix Business Journal in 2015 the chain left Arizona in 2008 because it was underperforming.
According to a press release from Kind Hospitality on Friday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the Mesa Riverview location at 953 N. Dobson Road on Monday, and it will be open to the public on Tuesday.
The company announced in spring 2022 that the restaurant was making a comeback in the state and said several locations were planned for metro Phoenix.
“We’re so excited to bring this concept back to Arizona, to grow it throughout the Valley and to introduce diners to the Fazoli’s experience,” said Nava Singam, owner and CEO of Kind Hospitality, in a press release.
