Arizona gas prices likely to stay low through holidays

Lower-than-expected gas prices are continuing across the state.

After OPEC cut oil production, there was worry prices would shoot up.  AAA spokesperson Julian Paredes says the results ended up being underwhelming.

“It’s hard to see the bottom at this point. We’ll get there eventually, and prices will definitely rise by spring time. But for the foreseeable future we can definitely see, expect, these cheap gas prices, and certainly for Christmas travel season," Paredes said.

The most expensive gas is in Gila County at $3.72. The cheapest is in Pima at $2.99.

The state average, however, is 19 cents above the national average.
