Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs made a stop to the Lukeville Port of Entry this weekend following its recent closure by the federal government.
The shutdown of the border occurred due to the large influx of migrants crossing into the region.
In on a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Hobbs says she is not afraid to stand up to politicians.
"For far too long, Arizona has borne the brunt of federal inaction on our southern border, and I’m tired of it. Now is not the time for partisan politics. It’s time for action," she said.
In the same video, Hobbs reiterated her request to President Joe Biden to allow for resources to help reopen the port.
When I talk about securing the border, I’m talking about keeping our communities safe & strengthening our economic future.

I’ve taken concrete steps to keep our communities safe and will continue to urge the federal government to send us the resources we need. pic.twitter.com/rfYom6AvEb
