Diamondbacks World Series, Shohei Ohtani signing drive up spring training ticket prices

Buzz around international baseball phenom Shohei Ohtani and his record-setting 10-year, $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers is sparking price bumps for some Cactus League spring training tickets.

Lawn tickets for the Dodgers first game in February are priced at $47 a piece.

Cactus League President Bridget Binsbacher says prices may also rise for tickets to see the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers after their lengthy postseason runs.

"Historically, we’ve seen where, you know, when a team’s in a World Series, coming off of a season like that, that definitely impacts attendance for Spring Training," Binsbacher said.

The 2023 Cactus League season added nearly $420 million to Arizona’s GDP.
