ADOT announces Samsung Wallet as new option for digital identification

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that drivers will now be able to use Samsung Wallet as another option for providing digital identification. ADOT said Arizona is the first state to accept Samsung Wallet as a valid option to store ID and also the first state to now offer four digital options.

The state also accepts IDs stored in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Arizona Mobile ID.

Digital ID can be used as a valid identification at select TSA airport security checkpoints.

But ADOT advises residents to also continue to carry a physical ID for other situations, including interactions with law enforcement.
