Flying with a loved one living with dementia? Sky Harbor offers a workshop to help families

After Sky Harbor hosted its first dementia travel workshop over the summer, staff are bringing it back on Wednesday, January 10. The goal of the two-hour program is to help prepare families and care providers to plan for and navigate a busy airport like Sky Harbor while caring for a loved one with dementia. Airline representatives, airport and TSA staff will also be available to answer questions. Sky Harbor was the first airport in the country to offer this workshop. Seating is limited.

The second Dementia Friendly Air Travel Workshop will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Those interested in learning more or wishing to attend the workshop can email [email protected]. Include the subject line “Dementia Friendly Air Travel Workshop Registration.”
