This year was a big year for politics in Arizona. It started with questions about how divided government would work.
Democrat Katie Hobbs was sworn in as governor and worked with a Legislature in which Republicans held a one-seat majority in each chamber.
The legislative session was the longest in state history, and Gov. Hobbs set a new veto record.
There are also a number of competitive federal races brewing, and Arizona seems likely to continue to be at or near the center of the political universe in 2024.
