Overnight temperatures are about to plummet in metro Phoenix.
Starting Monday, National Weather Service Meteorologist Mark O’Malley says to expect early morning temperatures to dip into freezing territory. That means lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s across the Valley.
“We will typically see freezing temperatures like this a few times every winter season and it’s typically from the end of December through January that we will see freezing temperatures in the metro. So this is our at least one bout of it this winter," O’Malley said.
Precipitation is expected statewide beginning Sunday.
