Mesa looks for feedback on its 2050 General Plan draft

The city of Mesa has posted a draft of its 2050 General Plan for public review and feedback.

The general plan helps the city prepare for the future and covers a wide range of issues, including development, safety, housing and city services. Each city in Arizona updates its general plan once every 10 years.

The draft of the 2050 plan incorporated feedback from about 10,000 people through surveys, public events and presentations last year.

And the public can continue to weigh in. The draft plan is available online at the city’s website along with a space to leave comments.

The City Council and the Planning and Zoning Board will review and approve a final draft before residents vote on it in November.
