Arizona Republican Congressman Andy Biggs said late last week that fellow members of the GOP had not accomplished much in one year while holding a House majority. He also said it was "embarrassing" for members of his party to have nothing to campaign on.
During an interview on Newsmax's "The Chris Salcedo Show," Biggs said people want to see action from Republicans when associating with Democrats.
“The only way you deal with them is [to] use the constitutional power of the purse and say we’re not going to fund you and your crazy programs until you secure the border," he said.
According to Biggs, the U.S. Senate has not taken up House spending-related bills supported by him and others.
Late last week, the Associated Press reported that migrant border crossing attempts are down due to relocation programs implemented by Mexico. “The drop led U.S. Customs and Border Protection to reopen the port of entry in Lukeville, Arizona, on Thursday after a monthlong closure.”
