Monday, Jan. 8, marks the 13th anniversary of the 2011 Tucson shooting that left six people dead and injured 13, including former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
Arizona Congressman Juan Ciscomani says he will never forget that day.
"That was a dark day in the story, the history, of our country and definitely the history of our community. I drive by that location almost on a daily basis when I’m in the district. And this is something we’ll always remember," Ciscomani said.
Survivors of the attack who talked with KJZZ News in 2023 said they still struggle with their physical and psychological injuries.
