Where does the marijuana industry stand in Arizona — and where is it headed?

Arizona voters decided to legalize recreational marijuana in 2020. Last year, Ohio voters made their state the 24th in the country to allow recreational cannabis.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is now recommending the federal government reclassify cannabis from a Schedule 1 to a Schedule 3 drug — that’s a less restrictive level.

Eddie Celaya spoke to The Show about where the industry stands in Arizona as we start the new year and what else might be on the horizon. Celaya is a reporter with KGUN 9 in Tucson and host of the Here Weed Go podcast.
