Nearly four years after the global supply chain was delinked due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the logistics industry is showing stability.
That’s according to the latest look at the Logistics Managers Index, and echoed by Arizona State University W.P. Carey professor Dale Rogers. He spoke on a recent episode of PBS’ “Arizona Horizon.”
“Global supply chains have mostly healed. You know, there are political issues and some other minor things, but for the most part, things have healed, and we’re back to normal,” he said.
According to Rogers, logistics managers actually overbuilt capacity during the pandemic and just after the worst of it. He indicated that led to loss of jobs in the trucking industry, for instance.
