One of the iconic coffee chains from the Pacific Northwest, Dutch Bros is headquartered in Oregon. But the company announced this week that by 2025, about 40% of its support staff will be in Phoenix.
In a statement, Dutch Bros said that the move puts the company’s support center “closer to its center of gravity” and aligns with long term plans to add more locations throughout the country.
CEO Christine Barone called the Phoenix market one of the strongest for Dutch Bros. She also noted the city’s location close to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, the 12th-busiest airport in the country.
But the company still plans to keep its headquarters in Oregon, along with its main roasting facility and several support operations.
More details on the expansion are expected to come in an earnings call next month.
