Early voting is underway for Arizona Presidential Preference Election

Early voting is now underway for Arizona’s March 19 Presidential Preference Election.

Only registered Republican and Democratic voters get to participate and choose their party’s nominee in the upcoming presidential election this November. And the deadline to register as a Republican or Democrat has passed as of Tuesday.

Ballots are being mailed to more than 2 million voters on the Active Early Voting List. And all voters have until March 8 to request a one-time ballot by mail.

Though the names of more than a dozen candidates are on those ballots, many — particularly those in the GOP field — have already withdrawn from the race

It’s essentially a two-way race for the GOP nomination between former President Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, while President Joe Biden faces a nominal challenge from U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips for the Democratic nomination.
