Here's how 1,000 Arizona high school seniors can receive 4 free spring training tickets

Arizona high school seniors who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid — also known as the FAFSA — are eligible to receive free spring training tickets.

For the second year, the Arizona Cactus League and the state Board of Regents are offering four free tickets each to the first thousand college-bound high schoolers who fill out the FAFSA application.

Nationally, completion rates have dipped because of the delayed, glitchy roll-out of a new online version of the FAFSA. Arizona currently ranks 49th in the country for federal student-aid applications, with almost 13,000 less filers than this time last year.

The state’s public universities have also extended their priority deadlines to May 1, including the deadline for the Arizona Promise Program that covers expenses for qualifying low-income students with federal Pell Grants.
