Valleywise Health says it's reopening beds at its Maryvale hospital for patients needing mental health treatment.
The beds had been unavailable due to a severe lack of staff.
The labor shortage caused three hospital wings to close.
Plans are to continue reopening them over the next 12 to 18 months.
Valleywise is Arizona’s largest provider of court-ordered inpatient behavioral health care with more than 400 beds in Mesa and Phoenix.
