The Mesa Promise Program, which provides two years of paid tuition and fees at Mesa Community College for eligible residents, is expanding to include adult learners.
The program is a public-private partnership, and Google is sponsoring the expansion.
Originally designated for recent high school graduates, the Promise Program is now open to Mesa residents 24 or older who can demonstrate financial need.
Mayor John Giles launched the program in 2021.
“We’ve had amazing examples of kids that have been brought into the program and it’s inspired their parents to want to upgrade their education so now we’re able to accommodate that.”
The latest window for applications opened March 1.
