Valley Metro and the city of Phoenix are teaming up to offer free rides to fans for upcoming NCAA Men’s Final Four events.
Basketball fans can download the Valley Metro app to get a complimentary pass for up to four people to use for Final Four events April 5 through 8.
Out-of-town visitors can ride to and from the airport. Fans can take the light rail to downtown Phoenix for the NCAA March Madness Music Festival at Margaret T. Hance Park or the Men's Final Four Fan Fest at the Phoenix Convention Center. Or spectators can take the Route 70 bus to get to games at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
On April 6 and 8, the light rail will also offer enhanced service to accommodate larger crowds.
To get complimentary Valley Metro Final Four transit passes:
- Download the Valley Metro app and create an account. The app and account are required to access the complimentary pass.
- Visit the Know Before You Go section of the NCAA Men’s Final Four websiteor the official app. Under Transportation, click the link to access the Final Four transit pass. This link will take you back to the Valley Metro app.
- Complete the transaction of your complimentary Final Four transit pass.
- Scan the QR code at the purple fare readers before each ride. This pass is valid April 5-8 for up to four people.
