Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is waiving adoption fees at its Mesa location From Saturday, April 13, to Sunday, April 21.
The waiver comes as the shelter, at Loop 101 and Rio Salado Parkway, will be relocating in early May to a larger building near Baseline Road and Mesa Drive.
A spokesperson for the county’s animal care says they have to start moving April 24, and that they typically have more than 250 animals in the current shelter.
