Chandler Unified School District reassigns principal named in 'Gilbert Goons' conspiracy lawsuit

The Chandler Unified School District has reassigned a principal whose teenage stepson has been accused of taking part in a group assault of another student in the district.

Jamie Lander and her stepson are defendants in a lawsuit against alleged members of the "Gilbert Goons" and their parents.

District officials say Lander’s reassignment is not disciplinary. They say distractions had disrupted learning at Riggs Elementary where Lander was principal. And now Lander works in Chandler’s special education department where she is highly qualified.

A pending civil conspiracy lawsuit accuses Lander’s stepson of appearing in multiple videos of violent attacks by teens that were part of an alleged terror campaign by the Gilbert Goons.

The complaint also accuses Lander of ignoring her stepson’s behavior.

Her lawyer is asking a judge to dismiss Lander from the case.
